About the Artist
Long Island based artist, Stacey Sharp has been expanding her art skills since she was very young, working with graphite, colored pencil, acrylic paint, and ink. She began her career as a tattoo artist in 1992 and made the move from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Long Island in late 1997 in order to learn from more seasoned artists and grow in her chosen field.
Wishing to share her creations with a wider audience, she began to market some of her personal art at tattoo conventions in 2008. This work was primarily done in combinations of colored pencil, marker, and digital. In 2017 she began working with watercolor and in 2020, returned to acrylics as her preferred medium. Most recently she has been gaining exposure by exhibiting her work at local galleries and art fairs.
